The 2023 Starboard Sprint Zero 14': Reinventing Performance Paddleboarding

Welcome to ZERO. All new for 2023, the brand new Starboard Zero Performance and Race Stand Up Paddle Board is changing what it means to be a paddleboard. A completely revolutionary take on SUP construction, the ZERO is entirely hollow. That’s right; no EPS foam core and a fully sealed hollow interior offers increased acceleration, faster top speed, and requires significantly less energy to paddle. Coming in at a whopping 4.5kg less than the Wood Carbon 14’ Sprint, this board is LIGHT. Aside from the obvious construction upgrades, several other updates make the 2023 Sprint a flat water phenomenon.

First, a higher and thicker nose design aides in water displacement allowing for faster release, faster paddling, and less water friction. Next, more rounded tail rails offer more forgiveness in the inevitable choppy conditions. All of this is capped off with a completely redesigned drainage system which results in a massive performance increase by offering better water management and thus less weight on board.
