Life Jackets and Personal Floatation

The US coast guard classifies stand up paddleboards as vessels, therefore personal floatation devices (PFDs) are required on most waterways. We love the MTI Fluid for its low profile and comfortable fit. They are an essential safety accessory for every paddler, along with a SUP leash.

The ticket/fine from marine patrols for not HAVING and/or WEARING a personal floatation device can be as high as $200. Actually wearing your PFD greatly increases your chances of survival in an emergency situation. Always practice #SAFESUP and always wear your PFD when on your SUP board.
